Was doing a little digging and came across this article which is dead on. This is the truth, and some good tips if you have to call up tech support and get help take the advice.

Be nice. Very true. I would throw in a sub-catagory to being nice. Don’t argue. You are calling tech support because you have a broken pc that you don’t know how to fix. You called a professional. Don’t argue. If you can’t get your email and I tell you it is your firewall causing the problem, don’t tell me it can’t be the firewall. Ninety five percent of the time I’m gonna be correct on that statement, so don’t argue. And I’m done.

Sometimes I have to apply ointment to the elephant in the room while in other instances pants are opshunal. Never forget to have a beer and enjoy the conversation.
